Our goal is simple: To provide one of the nation's best educational conventions for Colorado's newspaper professionals, while also promoting networking and inspiration.

With the line-up of sessions, speakers, sponsors, and events already scheduled for Press Forward, the 139th Annual Colorado Press Association Convention, we're well on the way to achieving that goal.

The convention will be held April 21-22 at the Denver West Sheraton, 360 Union Blvd. in Lakewood. This is THE industry-insider event of the year that you cannot afford to miss.

Some of the feedback we received after last year's convention included:

  • "Awesome convention overall."
  • "The selection of speakers was excellent - really stellar experts in their fields that were generous with their knowledge."
  • "Best CPA convention I've attended in a long time!"
  • "Best convention yet!"
  • "Great inaugural convention for me! Very impressive."

Bigger, better and more fun

We've also incorporated the constructive criticism received in the past to make this year's convention even better. Back by popular demand is Gov. John Hickenlooper, and we've added nationally-renowned headliners like Futurist Amy Webb and Revenue Expert Mike Blinder, as well as local talent, including top-rated speaker from last year Steve Zansberg — sharing their strategies and tactics for success. The convention has a wide range of learning opportunities for everyone.

Also new for this year: Friday evening keynote dinner hosted by NTVB, followed by a social with fun and games to further encourage networking and enhance community. Colorado Press Association CEO Jerry Raehal said not only will you learn a lot from this year's convention, you'll also have a blast.

"These are your peers," Raehal said. "In the old days maybe we were more competitive than collaborative, but we’re focusing on collaboration for the convention. You're meeting people, learning from them, and having a fun time with them. There is no other event in the state where you are going to see these quality of speakers and network with this quality of your peers as you will at this event."

You can take a look for yourself and plan the sessions and events you want to attend by checking out the available sessions and speakers, which are still being added to. We're just getting started, so check back often to our website for updates. Click on the following links to learn more:
