The core of the 2017 Colorado Press Association Annual Convention is scheduled for April 21-22 at the Denver West Sheraton.
The theme for the 2017 show is Press Forward.
“Our industry is not dying,” said Jerry Raehal, Colorado Press CEO. “It’s changing. How are we adapting to that change? And what can members do to move forward and face that challenge? Those are key questions we will be looking at.”
The speaker line-up is being put together — and more details will be available once speakers have been confirmed — but the goal to bring one of the best educational experiences in the nation to CPA members remains the same, Raehal said.
Gov. John Hickenlooper has been invited, but his office has not confirmed if he will be able to attend the 2017 event as they don’t typically schedule appearances this far in advance.
Costs to attend
Rates to attend the convention have not been confirmed, but they are expected to remain similar to the options offered last year.
Room rates at the Denver West Sheraton are $129 a night, which includes parking and WiFi.
Details on how to sign-up for the convention and hotel will be released at a later date.
Attend for free?
The CPA is looking for three to four volunteers to help at the event. Volunteer efforts would include helping man the registration booth and setting up in other areas.
Volunteers would be comped entrance to the convention, but hotel costs would not be covered.
